A silver opal necklace made using 100% recycled silver and a reclaimed opal, removed from a previous item of jewellery it continues its life in this unique oxidised necklace piece. I was inspired by the shapes in the wings of butterflies, butterflies have had such a good year this year so I wanted to commemorate them.
The pendant is made of two layers, the first was saw pierced to make the pattern and soldered to a thicker layer, then oxidised to highlight (or should I say lowlight) the shapes.
This stunning silver pendant measures 4.5 cm (1.77") in length and 1 cm (0.39") at the widest point. It comes with an 18" recycled sterling silver trace chain. If you would prefer a different chain length please don't hesitate to Contact Us.
Opal symbolises hope, innocence and purity, and has strong connotations of happiness, faithfulness, loyalty and confidence
This item is presented in a recycled gift box with an anti-tarnish tab, and is posted safely in recyclable wrapping. It would make the perfect special gift for women and especially for those who love opal jewellery. Domestic postage is free of charge.
