A beautiful bee necklace, with 100% recycled silver. The pendant is made using eco friendly silver (including the chain) which has been recycled by a refinery. I have oxidised the bee to give it depth and show off the detail. It is polished to leave a silver shine and finished with a protective coating to prevent tarnish.
This bee necklace is lightweight to wear and measures 1.8 cm (0.71") in length and 1.3 cm (0.51") at the widest point. It comes with a recycled 18" sterling silver trace chain. If you would prefer a different chain or length please don't hesitate to Contact Us.
There is one species of honey bee with 44 subspecies. There are three types of honey bees in a hive are: queens (egg-producers), workers (non-reproducing females), and drones (males whose main duty is to find and mate with a queen). A colony may typically consist of tens of thousands of individuals. They can fly up to 15 miles/hour, and one worker bee produces up to 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in their lifetime (3 weeks), visiting up to 2000 flowers per day, but from spring to autumn the colony must make 60lbs of honey to survive the winter.
It is presented in a recycled pillow box and ribbon with an anti-tarnish tab and care instructions. You can choose a gift box from the drop down list. It would make the perfect gift for those who love eco conscious jewellery or bee jewellery.
