A beautiful fine silver botanical necklace, made using a real physalis casing. The physalis was painted in several layers with silver metal clay, when it was dry it was fired and a soldered handmade jumpring was attached made with recycled silver wire. It is oxidised and polished so that you can see the textures and depth of the piece. The whole item is finished with a protective coating to prevent tarnish.
Physalis is a genus of flowering plants with an inflated lantern-like calyx. Not all physalis species bear edible fruit.
This unique pendant measures 2.1 cm (0.83") in length and 2.9 cm (1.14") at the widest point. It is hung on an 18" recycled silver link chain. If you would like a different length or style please don't hesitate to contact us.
Every item is presented in a recycled pillow box with an anti-tarnish tab, and is posted safely in recyclable wrapping. If you would like to add a giftbox to your order it would make the perfect gift for those who love autumn jewellery or oxidised jewelry.
