A beautiful pair of eco friendly fine silver leaf earrings, made using real ivy leaved speedwell leaves. I match their size by picking them from the same point on the stem. The leaves are handpicked and dried, painted with recycled silver metal clay, fired and attached to the sterling silver ear hooks. The earrings are polished and finished with a protective coating to prevent tarnish.
These leaves are picked from a wild ivy leaved speedwell plant (veronica hederifolia); it's a really common plant, usually with pretty blue/purple flowers. It grows on cultivated land, pathways, verges and walls; generally in nutrient rich soil. Here is a picture http://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/ivy-leaved-speedwell.
These leaf earrings measure 2.8 cm (1.1") in length and 1.5 cm (0.59") at the widest point.
Every item is presented in a recycled pillow box with an anti-tarnish tab, and is posted safely in recyclable wrapping. If you would like to add a giftbox to your order it would make the perfect gift for those who love leaf jewellery or silver clay jewelry.
